Seeking student who knows Polish and English

The Polish Cultural Institute is looking for someone (or maybe two people) who knows Polish and English well to present “soft titles” at our upcoming retrospective of the films of Andrzej Å»uÅ‚awski in March at BAM.  “Soft titles” are subtitles that are not burned into the film, but are projected separately, so someone who understands the original and the translation of the text needs to watch the film closely and advance the titles at the right time as the film is being projected to an audience.  This would be for two films, two screenings plus one rehearsal each, and BAM is offering a modest stipend.

For details, please contact Natalia Babinski, Curator of Film and Television, at natalia.babinski@instytutpolski.org

It’s been some time…

It’s been some time since the website had a redesign (Don’t worry you can still catch it here). There been a couple of changes and hopefully improvements. The website as of now still has a lot of things that have to be added, but for now there’s at least something to look at. The biggest changes include these posts being sent directly to Facebook and a Facebook commenting system. Please let me know in the comments what is/isn’t working or what you would like added/changed. Thanks in advance. The list of changes are after the break.
