Welcome to the Official

Rutgers Polish Club Website

Halo halo!
I hope everyone is having a good week! There will be a Polish Club meeting this Thursday, April 17, 2008 in the Rutgers Student Center in Room 411C at 9pm.

This is the second to last meeting of the semester, so please attend it is extremely important. Members who would like to remain members of the Polish Club next year MUST come in and sign the sheet. There will be no exceptions because we need to hand in the sheet as soon as possible, so it?s fine if you just come to sign it.

Next week, a representative will be coming to the meeting from the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union to open up bank accounts. We need about 10 accounts to receive the free t-shirts for the members. Please consider opening up an account, it costs about $20 and you can close it after it is opened. If you are planning on helping us receive the t-shirts by opening an account, please bring your driver?s license and passport/social security card.

Poland?s Constitution Day is May 3, 2008. We will be celebrating in the Rutgers Student Center Multipurpose Room from 7pm to 10pm. We will have Polish food and some movies, so please come join the fun since this will be the last time we will all meet this semester.

Also, if anyone is willing to make a donation to an organization that focuses on teaching immigrants and non-native speakers how to use English for daily purposes, please follow these directions:
Go to the website: www.lvmwalk.org
Find the Team: Ms. A Walus ~ HMS
Make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated!

We will be having pizza and soda at this meeting, so come join us!

Thanks,
Pani Sekretarka

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be no meeting this Thursday, February 28, 2008. There will be a meeting next Thursday, March 6, 2008, but I'll send out a more detailed email next week. Also I have some bad news that I just received:

WIDOMOSC Z OSTATNIEJ CHWILI -- Z KANCELARII PREMIERA RP:

Upszejmie informujemy, iz z przyczyn niewyjasnionych -- WIZYTA PREMIERA
DONALDA TUSKA W NOWYM JORKU ZOSTALA ODWOLANA.

Premier nie zatrzyma sie w Nowym Jorku, lecz poleci bezposrednio do

For those of you who can't read Polish, the meeting with Donald Tusk is basically canceled. He will not be stopping in NY anymore, and instead will be flying straight to Washington. I apologize for giving those of you who wanted to go false hope, it really sucks, maybe we will have another opportunity though.

Hope to see you all next week!

Czesc!!!
There is a change to the meeting tonight. I know I said it will be at 8pm because of bowling, but we don't have a room at 8pm. So, the meeting will be at the regular time 9pm at the Rutgers Student Center on College Ave in Room 411C (which is on the 4th floor) and we will go bowling after. I know some of you had concerns because you had class until 9:15 on D/C, but come to the meeting after class! Hope to see you all tonight!

Czesc!!!
There will be a Polish Club Meeting this Thursday, February 21, 2008 in the Rutgers Student Center in Room 411C at 8pm (that's right it will be one hour earlier this week ONLY, read on to find out why).

We will be briefly discussing the trip to see the Polski Premier (about 25 people in all) and opening the accounts with the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union. This is not a sign-up for an account meeting, so don't be scared we will only be talking about it. Also, if you emailed me back saying you would like to go see the Polski Premier, please attend this meeting as we will be discussing further details.

After the meeting this week, the Polish Club will be going bowling in order to spend some time together and hang out (hence the earlier time). We have about 3 people to carpool so if you don't have a ride, we will take you. So come have a drink, a bite to eat, and bowl! Hope to see you all at the meeting!

Czesc everyone!
There will be no meeting tomorrow, February 14, 2008. Our next meeting will be next Thursday, February 21, 2008. The officers will plan a bowling event for that Thursday, but I will have more details in the next email. However, if you are willing to give people rides for this event, let me know through email before next Thursday. Otherwise, a bunch of us will be carpooling anyway, so don't worry if you don't have a ride.

And by the way,

<3 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! <3

Welcome back!
We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break! We also hope that those people who went to Canada had an amazing time! But now that it's time to get back into school mode, Polish Club meetings are going to begin! The first meeting of the Spring 2008 semester is this Thursday, February 7, 2008. It will be held in the Rutgers Student Center in Room 411C at 9pm. Please come to support the club and hear about all the activities we have planned for this semester! We also have reservations for Stuff Yer Face after the meeting, so if you plan on coming there don't forget to bring money!

I also have a couple announcements:

1.)The Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union will help fund t-shirts for next year's Pulaski Parade as long as a few of our members open accounts with them. It's really easy and it only costs about $10 to create an account. Plus they have really good rates AND they've agreed to send a representative to New Brunswick to open accounts on the spot during one of the meetings. Please e-mail me if you are interested in doing this! It would really be appreciated!

2.)I have also included an attachment in this e-mail for a Polish theater comedy called "One." Check it out if you are interested, it's playing in Manhattan and it sounds like fun!

We hope to see you all at the meeting on Thursday!
